Faculty and Staff Housing
As part of its commitment to Equity and Education, the SFU Community Trust has made an effort to incorporate below-market housing options for SFU faculty and staff into UniverCity, thus providing affordable housing options for members of the SFU Community in close proximity to their place of employment. The first of these projects, developed in partnership with Vancity Enterprises, is the 60-unit ‘Verdant’ project. This development offers family-oriented housing units that were sold to owners at 20 percent below-market rates. As a condition tied to each title, these environmentally-friendly units will continue to be resold at discounted rates.
