SFU Community Association Director and Granting Committee Meetings
The SFU Community Association was established in 2002 to address matters of mutual interest to the UniverCity community and help facilitate communication between UniverCity residents, the SFU Community Trust, Simon Fraser University, and outside organizations. The association’s role is to initiate programs and projects that enhance and promote UniverCity as an attractive community to live and work. Join the Burnaby Village Museum this Heritage Christmas for some old-fashioned fun and spectacular light displays. Special entertainment is scheduled throughout the season including theatre performances, community choirs, street characters and musicians. Cheer on the SFU Men's Hockey team as they battle against the Selkirk College Saints at the Bill Copeland Sports Centre. This game will also feature a teddy bear & underwear toss when SFU scores their first goal of the night. Breakfast with Santa
Join your neighbours and the SFU Childcare Society in their third annual Breakfast with Santa event. The popular breakfast event includes family activities and of course, photos with Santa Claus! Families are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for donation to the local Food Bank. Bring the family to Barnet Marine Park and watch the flotilla of decorated carol ships sail past.
