Explore the safety and health implications of the Kinder Morgan tank farm expansion proposal with fellow SFU students, staff, faculty, administration, and community members at Embark's first-ever TankTalks event. TankTalks, a dialogue-based town hall, is being collaboratively hosted by Embark Sustainability, Simon Fraser Public Interest Group (SFPIRG), SFU 350, Graduate Student Society, Force of Nature, World Literature Student Union, SFU Faculty Association, and BROKE.

Tank Farm Rally

Residents of UniverCity are welcome to join the SFU Student Society, SFU staff, faculty and students in a rally to bring awareness to the location of the TransMountain tank farm and the unique safety issues it poses as well as to get the attention of Kinder Morgan and elected representatives. Check in for the event at 2:30pm in MBC 2290. Opening statements regarding the focus of the rally will begin at 3:30pm before the rally commences.

Mosaic invites you to review plans for their proposed development, Fraser. Mosaic is working with SFU Community Trust and the City of Burnaby on a development proposal for Parcel 31 at UniverCity on Burnaby Mountain. The proposal includes a 5 storey residential building with 84 apartments, 15 garden townhomes and 32 townhomes. The development embraces UniverCity's Slopes Neighbourhood Plan.

2017 Salmon Release in Eagle Creek

Join the Eagle Creek Streamkeepers in releasing 50,000 Chum Salmon into Eagle Creek. Participate in hands-on Chum release from 10:00am until the salmon are released. The Eagle Creek Streamkeepers are a group of individuals volunteering to restore the fish and wildlife in Eagle Creek to its natural state. UniverCity Community Clean Up

Families of UniverCity are organizing this year's community clean up. This is a tradition that brings together hundreds of volunteers to pick up garbage across the community. Volunteers are asked to register at the elementary school on the day of the event and will be assigned designated clean up areas.
